| In 1982 Bruno's Automotive Products introduced the first aluminum ballistic transmission restraint "The Trans-Vest." The "Trans- Vest" did away with the cumbersome, heat retaining transmission blankets that were once commonplace. Soon after, a number of companies copied the Bruno's Automotive original, all but eliminating the blankets. In 1995 Bruno's evolved the "Trans-Vest" into the now US Patented Powerglide Pan & Shield. The updated Bruno's product eliminates the use of straps to hold the shield in place. In doing so, the Pan & Shield is the only product of its kind to offer racer's 360 degree protection, by combining the shield with a hybrid-aluminum flanged pan. Not only does the Bruno's Pan & Shield offer complete protection and an SFI 4.1 rating it has a 2-quart extra capacity over standard powerglide pans. Racer's can be insured a snug fit, so modifications to most standard powerglide tunnels aren't necessary. All hardware is included. | ||||||
